For more than 25 years, I was an in-house lawyer for BP, Amoco, and Schlumberger in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In 2010, I left BP, where I had previously been the Programme Director, Global Information and Records, and the Information Policy Director. I led a global program to redevelop the corporation’s approach to information governance for paper and electronic information, both unstructured and structured.
I taught courses in Information Management and Governance to second-year MBA students at Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business. I have also been involved for many years in knowledge management in the inhouse legal environment. I have written and spoken on this topic and others on numerous occasions.
